A little bit about me

Hi everyone! My name is Kassie, and I am 29 years old. I am a full time online college student at Southern New Hampshire University, majoring in Psychology. I am in the process of getting my undergrads out of the way which will take about 2 an half more years. I love the field I am studying and I love working with people. I love children as well, although I don't have any of my own. Unfortunately I can't have children of my own, but I make up for that through other peoples children haha! I do have 3 fur babies and I love them all. I took some culinary classes at Ivy Tech, and I have been cooking since I was about 16 years old. I can cook just about anything. I can clean just as well. My mom owned her own business for cleaning so I guess I get that from her. Haha!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am not a mother, but I have babysat for friends before. I do love kids, but unfortunately I can't have any of my own. This will be good for me in many ways. Considering I can't have a child of my own, then I can use experiences like these to learn and grow from. As well as it will be helpful in my education and my long term goals in my career.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I just usually do whatever makes them the happiest, within the limits of course. I am good at setting and sticking to rules and a schedule. I am flexible and willing to try anything new. As long as the child(s) is happy that is all that matters to me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The child is happy and taken care of. In the moments that I have a child those are the only moments that matter.

My experience with special needs children...

I have quite a bit of experience with mild to moderate autism. My roommate that I live with. has a 2-year-old little boy and he is Autistic, and so is my little sister. He is so much fun to be around! Kids are funny and a joy to have around and be around. So, I don't have a lot of experience with various forms of special needs children, but I am always willing to learn!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don't have children, but I have spent some time with a couple of my friends kids, and one memory I have of my best friend's little girl. She use to do this thing, where she would blink her eyes at me, and I would do it back to her and tell her I loved her, sp she would do it back because she couldn't say it back.
