A little bit about me

My name is Kate! I have a plethora of experience working with kids. I worked as a nanny for 3 and a half years and worked at a school as a special needs paraprofessional. I have taken care of many children some who are very self sufficient, some that require me to be by their side and support at all times, and everything in between. It’s in my nature to be nurturing and help kids feel happy, loved, smart, strong, and important. Rules are completely dependent on the child’s needs and the family’s expectations and have to be individualized and although I am gentle in my approach I am firm with rules once are in place. Consistency provides a feeling of safety and the most effective way to promote growth. With all of my jobs I have been complimented on my positive attitude, ability to communicate well with parents and kids, and my patience.
