A little bit about me

I am reliable, empathetic, transparent, fun and a good communicator! I live with my husband and two amazing stepdaughters that are currently in college. I graduated from college in 2007 and taught until 2014. I needed a change and a way to still work with children so I chose to become a career nanny and love it! I also love animals and have a passion for animal rescue! I volunteer at my local animal shelter and an animal sanctuary as well. If your family has furbabies, that is an absolute bonus for me(and them) because I will love on them as if they were mine! I enjoy being outside, kayaking, biking, walking(especially with kids and pups), attending concerts, hitting the beach, traveling and being home with my family!

I was in a new city with an 8 month old and she was the best thing that could ever happen to me and my son. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Being the oldest sibling and cousin of many, I've always been very responsible and have taken care of children as long as I can remember. College, I started to babysit into our children in the neighborhood along with some of my professor's children while they taught. I worked in Taunton Schools for 6 years and have been nannying since the end of 2014. I also babysat after teaching the last 3 years as an educator. I also helped raise my stepdaughters from when they were 4 and 5 and they live full time with my husband and I and have since 2018.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I believe in the power of play both interactive and solo to build confidence, imagination and problem solving skills! I love exploring nature with children and going on outings to the library(reading lots of books), museums, aquariums, zoos, indoor play spaces and music and swim classes! I love sensory activities as well as doing age appropriate art activities. They are little sponges and their brains are growing so rapidly and I love encouraging, facilitating and observing this development!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a baby aside from keeping them safe, healthy and happy is being an active role model and safe adult for the children in my care! I want to create a lifelong love of learning as well!

My experience with special needs children...

I worked in a classroom with a cooperating teacher working with student with ASD. I have also had a long term nanny position where one child has some special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are so many and as I try to think of one or two specifics I cannot. I will come back to this but I cherish all of the fun, silly, happy moments with littles!
