Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've been a CT tech at Sacred Heart Children's hospital for over 17 yrs. I had a great time helping my 2 darling nieces and nephew while my big sis flight attendant and pilot hubby worked for days and weeks at a time. I also babysat from a young age to the time I was 18 and started college. I have always had animals and I love them too!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing as I'm a child at heart. I like to read to them and also have them read to me? Independent study time is great too. I like anything from Barbies to Nintendo to hide and seek. I love the outdoors and knowledgeable about nature. I learn from kids. It helps me remember the basics which can get convoluted as an adult at times. It makes me happy to see them happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Family. Treating them as if they were my own and protecting their Innocents. Some grow up too fast. Listening will help you realize what life's about. Honestly, the entire family needs an ear at some point? I'm here to lend a hand to alleviate undue stress.
My experience with special needs children...
I was part of " Special friends" as I was growing up. It taught me a lot. I learned to never understand estimate ANY child:) They all have something to contribute and be recognized for.

Too many greats to list. This question isn't fair?! Haha ok to name a few... Graduation is one of my favorites. Dances and family meals. When the light turns on for the first time when teaching them something. It's all so rewarding.

I work with up to 10 friends in class on a normal day and manage my own weekly curriculum.
I started my childcare journey young watching neighbor hood kids to earn enough for my first car. Then I moved up to my church nursery and helping with the young mothers minestry group. I was an in home caregiver for two years, and now I'm a certified early learning center teacher.
I'm looking to re-enter the private childcare sector as I have found I prefer taking more time to teach and take attention to detail than a center setup allows for. I feel a calling to nurture and care for the ones who need it the most.
