My name is Mrs. Kathy West. I am married and a mother of 4 adult children, 13 grandchildren ( 4 attending college ) and 1 great grandchild. I have over 10 years of Income Childcare experience with mostly military children. I also work at two different Childcare facilities here in Newport News Va. one at a Childcare facility which is now out of business and also at Bright Horizons in Kiln Creek over almost 15 years ago. I have a gift and passion for helping, caring for and helping children to become the best they can be. I believe all children are special!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I cared for children at my Private In- Home Daycare in Norfolk VA for mostly military children. . I also worked at Bright Horizons Childcare in Kiln Creek. Also, I worked at Special Children Daycare in Newport News which was located next to the old Shoneys Restaurant on Denbigh Blvd.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading books with the children. I love teaching educational skills for children's at their teaching levels . I also love teaching through Educational Videos such as ABC. I love teaching arts and crafts at teaching levels. I also love outdoor walks with children.

I think is learning to respect an cary out the wishes of the employer.

I have little experience however I would love to learn how to be of any assistance. All children are special children.

My favorite Nanny moment was when I taught funny games with colors, shapes and numbers...I laughed and think I enjoyed it as much as the children.
