I love baking with children! I have a funny moment when a kid was helping me bake an apple pie, and they threw a handful of flour into their mouth! Remembering my own Kindergarten experience eating flour out of the sensory tray, and recalling that bitterness 25 years later, I asked, "Ohhhh.. how did that taste?" to which they replied with a smile, "Soo good.. I eat flour all the time." We had a discussion about community ingredients, and sticking our hands in them, and the dangers of eating flour.. I look back and smile.
