Hi! I'm Katie! I love teaching and working with children, and I am currently in the process of becoming a New Jersey state-certified classroom teacher. I am COVID-vaccinated and have passed a background check (necessary for acquiring a teaching certification). Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Former Girl Scout camp counselor, tutor, longtime babysitter, and loving aunt to my 3 year old niece and 6 month old nephew! My most recent "formal" nannying job was part time while I was attending graduate school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Drawing, painting, doing crafts, going on walks or nature hikes, bike riding, dancing, reading, cooking and baking, playing video games, and most of all -- being silly and having fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being supportive, kind, authentic, consistent, able to problem solve, and set a good example. Having a sense of humor helps too! ; )

A great recent experience was playing along with a 4 year old's harrowing tale of escaping a monster in a swimming pool... it's so amazing and hilarious to see how kids' minds come up with the most creative ideas!
