Aside from raising siblings and various positions Nannying or Babysitting, I have also been a swim instructor teaching children ages 4 mos. - 13 yrs. about water safety and proper swim technique. I am a Teacher for the YMCA and hold various positions with the organization in Childcare and Camp.

I believe all children should be able to express themselves artistically. As a former girl scout and current artist, I have a variety of educational artistic activities I enjoy doing with my siblings and clients - such as: fall foliage collages, emotionally charged potion bottles, communication wands, dance parties, and musical breathing exercises. I am an advocate for library learning - as a child of the books myself - so I enjoy going to story time, having Dewey Decimal Scavenger Hunts, and showing children the tangible knowledge available in such a special place.
Physical well-being is also a priority to me and I enjoy nature walks, obstacle courses, swimming, and yoga.

As a swim instructor and summer camp Leader, I taught many kids with varying disabilities. I have experience with physical disabilities such as SMA, neurological disabilities like brain tumors, and autism and Downs Syndrome. I believe patience and kindness are the keys to understanding children of all abilities.
