A little bit about me

I am a 33 year old woman who is the eldest of 6 children. I prefer to say that I am a home maker over just a nanny. I have been caring for children since I was in high school, and professionally for the last 10 years more or less. I enjoy watching and helping children grow and learn about the world around them.

I am an artistic woman at heart, I love to paint, knit, make pottery, and read. I have worked many cooking jobs as a chef over the years in conjunction. Cooking and/or meal prepping for the family as needed are always a bonus task in my eyes since I don’t work restaurants any more. Light or full housekeeping is also an option depending on your needs.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am the eldest of 6 children, my mother runs a preschool, I cared for 3 children of the Pardal family in Cascais, Portugal for 4 years. I was a full time nanny and home maker to 2 girls in Kirkland, WA for 7 years.

Due to the privacy of the families I don’t disclose their personal information or photos of the family or kids, but I do have letters of recommendation from them both. Upon request I will offer their phone numbers if needed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy getting to know the children and their personal likes. Time outside is important but some kids are more mellow activity oriented and other enjoy sports I like to ensure that the children are able to connect outdoors in the ways that are fit for their personalities. For indoor activities I prefer to limit television and electronic use, stimulating the children with games, cooking, reading. Having a daily little chats together are important and fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping children learn about themselves and feed the little things that make them tick. Teaching children about themselves beauty and fun things of life while sneaking in important life skills.

I have experience caring for children with Autism, ADHD, and Diabetes.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had been watching Anna for about 7 years. I had arranged to have a night off so that I could meet a friend visiting from out of town. Anna was about 5 at the time, and she INSISTED that she come over to MY house to make sure I dressed like a princess. Haha so she came over with her mom and she picked out my outfit and did my hair and makeup! It was so cute!!
