I was a teacher for ages 0-5yrs. @ Little Ridge in Ft.Lauderdale Florida for 4 years. I babysat 2 special needs siblings for 9 years. I also cared for a family of 4 all under the age of 5 for 4 years. I worked in several daycares, nurseries, and 1 school over my 20 years experience. I now have my own kids, ages (f)9 and (m)14yrs.

When given the materials learning activities, arts and crafts, dancing, songs and reading. Weather permitted outdoor games or nature walks. Parks or playgrounds. Coloring.

My experience with special needs children...
I have taken several online classes over my 20 years experience on different types of disabilities and online training. However I have volunteered several times at my past churches when I was in the nursery helping to be called upon for any help with special needs children. I also babysat for 2 highly autistic boys and 2 sisters for 9 years aging from 2yrs-16yrs. The older boy was high functioning, completely non verbal, very strong, harmful to self and others and things. The younger was very playful. At first just made noises and such then started echoing then began forming words and loved mirroring logos and words and pictures etc.
