Hi there! My name is Kelli and I am a very dedicated and experienced teacher and caregiver. It is a privilege to work with children in some of the most important developmental stages of their lives! I love the idea of a one on one setting where I can really bond and share my knowledge with a family. I can’t wait to get to know you all, but here is a bit about my professional background.

I have a teaching certificate from the state of Missouri for Secondary Education. However when the pandemic hit, I took the chance and switched to the younger years! I personally have 13 nieces and nephews and worked at an after school program from high school into college as well as nannied though college. I began working as an Infant/Toddler teacher in March of 2021. In March of 2023 I moved to St. Louis and began work as a Montessori Lead Guide in June of 2023.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a certified teacher in the state of Missouri. I have currently been working as a Montessori Infant lead guide and was an Infant/Toddler teacher back in Maryville, MO. I have cared for children in after school programs, subbed, nannied, and had various other care giving roles throughout my life.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I believe that outside time is crucial for children so I love to go on walks and being in nature.
I find that a big help in developing speech is through both reading and singing. I love call and response songs/books that get children involved.
Involving children in daily activities like meal prep, light chores, simple decision making really gives them a sense of pride that I really love to see.

The most important part about being a nanny...

These are some of the most important, if not the most important developmental years for a child. The impact adults have on them at this time is huge. I want to help encourage your child meet milestones, build independence, and learn through play. Children need loving and responsible caretakers to grow into health adults.

My experience with special needs children...

I nannied every Saturday in 2022 into the spring of 2023 for a child who was nonverbal and on the spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment in my career is when the child I was nannying for used sign language to ask for me to give her “more tickles”. She is nonverbal so that communication of needs was huge!
