One of my favorite nanny moments was a day when the child and I had been playing with alphabet magnets and saying the letters. When the parents got home that day, the 18 month old child started picking up different letters, and putting the letters on the refrigerator door while saying the correct letter. The parents were amazed that their child, who couldn't even sing the alphabet song, knew the letters by sight. It was a very proud moment for her and I!
