Beyond my love for kids, I've picked up a good amount of experience in different places. The most significant was at an afterschool program where I mostly worked with kids from age 10 to 13. My job was to come up with fun stuff that helped them learn and get along. I set up homework help, art projects, and sports, all designed to get them working together and thinking creatively.
Working there really helped me get better at talking to people and figuring out what pre-teens need. I loved getting to know the kids, learning what they were into, and helping them through the ups and downs of being a kid. It felt great to see them get more confident as they tried out new things
