Hello my name is Khamya Walker. I am 16 years old, soon to be 17 and a licensed driver on August 7th. I have experience with babysitting my little cousins who are now both 7 years old. I’ve been babysitting them since they were only a few months old. I am very energetic, reliable, and responsible. I have no issues with helping tidy up around the house or cooking meals. I am comfortable with pets in the house and have no allergies. I am Covid-19 vaccinated and will be willing to show proof if asked for it. I am not CPR certified but I am trained. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During my junior year of highschool I was a safety ambassador for my towns local elementary school. This program consisted of a select few kids from my school, about 8 of us, to go to the local elementary school once a month and teach first graders all basic road safety. Each month we would cover a new topic. These topics would range from always wearing a helmet when on a scooter, bike, skateboard, etc, to learning how to cross the street. We also taught them about the safety of riding at night by wearing bright clothing and having reflective tape on. They were taught to not play in a driveway behind cars and traffic signals and lights. When it comes to any sort of pedestrian or road safety your kid(s) are 110% safe with me!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy going swimming with kids. I also love arts and crafts, playing sports such as baseball, football, and soccer. I love having tea parties, playing dress up, and playing with dolls.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me the most important part of being a nanny is always making sure the kid(s) are safe, happy, and having fun. It also entails the parents feeling comfortable leaving their kid(s) in my care and trusting me to keep their child safe. I just want everyone to be happy and healthy!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was a few years ago when I was babysitting my cousin and it was raining outside so we took and old amazon box and cut it up. We then drew lane markings and used another longer piece and taped it on. We but the base of the box on the couch while the long ramp like cardboard piece went down to the floor. We gathered all of his toy cars and would drive them down the ramp and it resulted in hours of fun and play time. It kept him occupied until the rain let up and we were able to go outside and play in the puddles left behind.
