More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been around children my entire life (6 younger siblings). When I was 13, I started babysitting for a family friend on nights and weekends starting with 1 child (3 years), then they had another child and I cared for him starting at 2 months. I also babysat for another family with 4 children (ages 2,4,5,6). I continued to babysit for both families until I relocated to Springfield, Mo, where I started my job at a preschool as a 2 year old teacher (caring for 16 children) for about 6 months, then moved to the preschool room (ages 3-5). I have been a preschool teacher for almost 2 years. I also jump around to different rooms including infants and toddlers.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Currently, I create weekly lesson plans for my class and would love to continue. I like to let the children control their learning, so I base our activities off of their interests. I love reading to children, playing outside, teaching them new games, arts and crafts, practicing writing, and much more.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important is definitely patience. Children are just trying to find their place in this world and learning how to control their emotions and impulses. This can mean temper tantrums, kicking, throwing, screaming, etc. Being patient with the little humans can make all the difference and help them navigate this crazy world.

I have so many funny moments with children. They really do say whatever comes to mind. I laugh every single day when I’m around chidlren. I can’t pick my favorite moment. I love them all!
