A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Kim. I'm a mom of 4 adult children and grandmother of 5. I just moved back to New Castle (Neshannock Twp) after a few years in Poland, Ohio with my husband. Unfortunately my best friend and husband of nearly 40 years passed away unexpectedly July 2024 so I am looking to get back into sitting. I never really stopped, as I care for my granddaughters and grandson, but my last paid nanny position lasted for 7 years. I was caring for 4 children between the ages of newborn to 9. I have completed cpr and first aid courses various times in my life, but will do it again at your request once the opportunity arises. I'd love to get to know your children. I have references at request. I am open to sitting in your home but also willing and able to have your child or children at my home. I am open to discuss pay. I have nannied several children and families long term throughout the years, as well as cared for my four children and 5 grandchildren. I have worked in nursery school and preschools for years in the past. I've been a room mother and aid in classrooms, as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading, playing games, coloring, going on walks, and praising children as they show me their tricks on bikes and trampolines, twirl in a tutu, and dribble a basketball. If you feel comfortable, I love allowing the children to help me prepare food or do laundry if they are interested. I also love going over flashcards and helping them study.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Recognizing the importance of these years in your child's life is what drives me to be nurturing, loving, and strong to and for the child. These are formative years. A negative experience with a sitter can be a detriment, whereas a positive one can be the opposite.
