More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at the LA fitness Kids club for 4 years prior to COVID but unfortunately had to resign because my parents are older and I was worried for their health at the time. While working at LA Fitness is where I found I enjoyed being around kids and even got offered my first job as a nanny. I remember going home and telling my parents, I was so flattered someone would trust me with their children. I nannied for 4 hours 5 times a week and I enjoyed it so much.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoor activities: Go for a walk, paint/chalk outside, go to the park

Indoor activities: Color/ draw, read books, puzzles

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part I believe is making sure you are treating kids as if they are your own. If a parent is trusting you for a few hours, you as a nanny must make sure you're giving your best self. which means being a good example for the kids, with manners, respect, and patience.

My experience with special needs children...

My only experience with special needs children is a child who used to come into kids club. He was 2 years old and autistic. He was the sweetest little boy who was still learning how to be away from his mom. I will never forget his first tantrum as a two year old and how intense his emotions were. I learned you just have to have lots of patience and understand nothing is ever personal.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh man! My favorite nanny moment was definitely the moment I realized my kids didn't see me as just their "nanny" or some girl who watches them for a few hours. I remember the parent of one of my kids told me "My son tells his aunt about how nice he thinks you are". Its an amazing feeling to know me, a 23 year old girl is in some way helping these kids grow into great little humans. After all, they do say it takes a village. I am grateful I can be part of that village.
