More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a preschool teacher, a babysitter, a living nanny, a nanny full-time (not living in the house) as well as part-time. I grew up with my mom having an in-home daycare-- so child care has always been a part of my life!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I'm also an artist; I wear many hats! I have been selling paintings since 2016 & when I was a preschool teacher, I regularly made coloring books, work books, or coloring pages for my classroom and other classrooms.
I love being outside; a lot of times, when I nanny or babysit, I like to regularly take the children to parks, the beach (I grew up in Seattle next to the water).
When I visit Seattle, I have a few families that still ask me to come babysit just because their children and I grew very close!
I also have two nieces and a nephew in Seattle and I love taking them to the zoo, the waterfront, & the Seattle Science center, when I visit. Here in Arizona, I was a live-in-nanny, full-time for my nieces.
They are older now and in daycare full time. But I still regularly like to visit them and take them to one of our favorite places (the turtle pond). Or I will do overnight childcare for my best friend every once in a while, and have movie & arts & craft nights with my nieces.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny or working in child care is knowing that every child is different and learns differently! Also, knowing that the early years of children's lives are a huge part of our foundation that shapes us into teenagers, young adults, and adults!
On top of taking some early childhood education classes when I was a preschool teacher, I recently graduated from college and took some psychology classes. So I know the importance of our developmental years.
I think that learning each child's way of communication and how they learn is really important. Of course, keeping the children safe is number one but-- also providing a mentally stimulating, fun, and stable environment is very important too!

My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with autistic children, when I worked at one of the preschools full-time in Seattle, and then my niece has an autoimmune disease.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think some of my favorite nanny moments have always been when a child first learns how to say my name 🙂.
(I have watched children from the time they were infants until they were 5 years old before). So just watching a child grow up, learn and explore is so fulfilling to me!
I know that the early years in life are a huge part of our lives/ they are some of the most fundamental years that shape who we are!

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Mesa, AZ: Sadie D.
Hi my name is Sadie DeGiobbi Harris. My first experience in childcare was a nanny for four kids and it always been my dream to be working with a loving family. I have been a infant teacher for 2.5 years and i have been working in childcare facilities for three years and it's finally time for me to do my own thing 🙃. In my previous infant programs,we focused on sensory play, one on one time and transition to patting to be ready for a toddler room. My favorite thing about infants and toddlers is to watch them grow and play. Especially baby snuggles!
