I was a stay at home momma, a Nursery Worker and my 1st every day babysitting job was at the age of 12 and my first live-in Nanny position was at 18. I did Therapeutic Foster Care and adopted 2 special needs children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Baking, crafts, nature walks, creating games, swimming (ocean or pool) dancing, siinging and whatever else is thier passion. I am not very interested in video games though....but I will listen...lol

Making a difference. Listening to thier "inner voices". Cultivating thier gifts and guiding thier growth while making sure that choc chip cookies are baked and rainy day movies occur!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Well, "Spiderman" went to the park with me last week and he climbed on everything, learned to climb a extremely difficult tree and jumped off a ledge that he hadnt previously been able to master. We saw a gorgeous Hawk and had a long talk about that too and the weather was beautiful! When I had gone downstairs after tucking everyone in and reading a story....I heard him calling my name and I thought for sure he wanted a drink or something...NOPE1 He just said...."Ms Kim, I love you." My heart melted.

I love kids and I'm getting older but still don't have any grandchildren of my own. I've worked with autistic children including assistant teaching at Summerville elementary - also a Beech Hill Elementary schools. I taught in the special needs classes and not only did I love my work I also feel in love with these children. All children are special wheather they are special needs or just regular children. What more can I say? I just love them from the time they are first born until.they are grown. I've had many grown men and women that still call me ma because they were and have always been a part of my life.
