More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a variety of professional experiences working with young children and adolescents.
I've dedicated over four years to working with struggling youth ages 10 to 24. In addition, I’ve worked in an elementary school teaching preschool and leading after school activities for kiddos ages 3 to 9. During my time spent in different therapeutic settings and schools I've acquired many different skills, understandings, and genuine relationship building with the younger generation. Through these different positions I’ve been gifted with the opportunity to see the benefits and impact of practicing Mindfulness. I find that one of my greatest skills is integrating heartfeltness, mindful thinking, and gratitude into each day. I also believe my experience working in fast paced, unpredictable, and high intensity positions has provided me the ability to make quick decisions, create positive solutions, and efficiently navigate whatever comes my way.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’ve done everything from kayak outings on the ocean, horseback riding, kids yoga, and snowshoeing to doing shaving cream ABC’s, building interactive volcanoes, and creating art in whatever medium has called to our hearts. I'm open to trying new things and find it to be rewarding getting outside of my comfort zone to join other's in one of their passions and/or interests.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe one of the most important aspects of working with children is being consistent. When a child knows you'll be there and knows what to expect I find that it creates a strong foundation of trust.
