More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spontaneous dance parties with children! I love introducing children to a wide variety of music to broaden their tastes early on. Not to mention, it gets our bodies moving! I also enjoy long neighborhood walks and local park explorations. It's important for the youngest of kiddos to be opened up to the world around me under careful supervision.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is balancing kids' need to explore and their safety. I think of it as being bumper rails for a bowling lane. While children go through life rolling down the bowling lane, good caregivers allow them the room to swerve and dip while giving them the protection from falling into danger zones. This dynamic can lead to thrilling, educational, and positive experiences for the youth's development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I'll never forget the day I gave a baby I nannied his first strawberry! He took the littlest nibble and scrunched his face in the cutest way. How sour it was to him! I thought he didn't want anymore but he ended up eating two more berries. Strawberries are sour but still sweet and delicious! I loved having the opportunity to give him a new sensory experience that also broadened his flavor palette.

Babysitter Available in Chicago, IL: Kara M.
Hi! I'm Kara, and caring for children has been a constant throughout my life. As the middle of five children, I grew up helping care for my twin younger sisters from the time they were born, and that love for childcare naturally grew into babysitting and nannying.
I started as a mother's helper in fifth grade and continued nannying throughout college, caring for families with 1–6 children ranging from newborns to teenagers. Most recently, I've spent the past several months caring primarily for infants and toddlers (6 months to 3 years old).
Professionally, I've spent the past 10+ years in business development and leadership roles before recently launching my own boutique travel company. Building my business has given me the flexibility to return to nannying—something I've genuinely missed and always found incredibly rewarding. I'm dependable, patient, organized, and committed to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Chicago, IL: Kim N.
Hi there! I’m Kim — a caring, creative, and dependable caregiver with a deep love for children and supporting families. I’ve been a big sister, a foster mom, and a “bonus auntie” to many, and I truly believe in nurturing kids with patience, playfulness, and a sense of safety.
I have experience with children of all ages, including those with special needs. I’m attentive, flexible, and great at meeting kids where they’re at emotionally and developmentally. Whether it’s reading books, doing crafts, helping with homework, or just making snack time a little extra fun — I bring calm, heart, and structure into the home.
I’m currently moving to the West Loop area and looking for part-time or occasional nanny work. I’m happy to help with light tidying, meals, pet care, or anything that supports the rhythm of your family life. I understand how sacred your children are, and I promise to treat them with the same care I would my own.

Babysitter Available in Chicago, IL: Shamell W.
I have great experience with watching children as young as new borns, I’ve babysat my family members children and my mom’s friends from her job. Family friends. I’ve baby sat some of my moms friends I’ve never met and they trust my mom so I guess they trust me lol. Never had an issue. I love children. Currently trying to find a healthcare job in labor & delivery or NICU. Anytime I watch someone child which are mostly months old, they always say they cry a lot and apologizes, but it doesn’t bother me, it’s easy taking care of a baby. Or children up to 3 years of age. It’s not hard to play with them and keep them entertained.
