A little bit about me

I am 56 years old and have raised three grown daughters.
I have worked with children in one way or another my whole life….daycare, camp counselor, lifeguard, Bible School, and also watched children in my home for 12 years until selling our house two years ago, with our current home not providing enough space.
I currently work at a preschool and love it, but I am needing to seek higher pay.
I have a very soft heart and calm demeanor.
I enjoy adapting unique ways of caring for each child, as children cannot be grouped in a box with every other child.
With my current employment I have had the privilege of working alongside other teachers, with children on the spectrum.
I have many references and would be happy to provide them for you.
As a mom, I know how important it is to be completely comfortable with and trusting of someone who is caring for your children. I hope to be given the opportunity to provide that for your family

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have raised three daughters who are the love of my life. After they got older I started an in home childcare and did this for 12 years. I only stopped because we moved into an apartment and no longer had the space.
I kept the number of children to five maximum, for more individual attention. I always had the full five and they were all fulltime.
Most of these children started with me at about three months old and all stayed with me until they entered kindergarten. I have many references to provide.
After this I worked in the infant room at a Daycare. I loved this as well but I am wanting to get back into a home situation because that is where my heart is.
I am CPR and first aid certified. I am available right away and can come for both a full time or part time position.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I ensured that each child, infant and above, had all of the love and attention that all children deserve. With the toddlers and above, we “danced” to silly songs and just enjoyed being kids. We did crafts, baked, enjoyed being outdoors, and went on many outings.
