I have two children of my own, both under the age of six and I did my own in house babysitting and care for a while and took care of up to 9 children, that’s including my own two. One of the children had special needs so I have some experience with that as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing arts and crafts with the kids. One of my favorites is rock painting. Painting all kinds of different rocks with the kiddos and then hiding them outdoors and letting the kids hunt them. They love that. Another fun one is Salt Dough Hand Prints for the parents! Letting the kids play in the sprinkler and riding scooters, etc. I’ve always had lots of fun with all the kids that I’ve cared for.
My experience with special needs children...
One of the children I cared for is diagnosed with Klinefelter Syndrome. He was under two years old. He was different of that from another child his age. He had no motor skills, he could not sit up on his own, he could not walk, roll over, crawl, or even hold his head up. He could not talk at all. Was very similar to caring for a newborn.
