More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a Lead Daycare Teacher at Minnieland Academy and the Learning Experience; Years [phone number hidden]. I was a Nanny/ Sitter for Care.com; Years [phone number hidden]. I also have babysat my sister, my friends children, children from the daycare outside of school, my godchildren, nieces, and nephews since I was 13 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities that I enjoy doing with kids are:
Going on nature walks, Playing at the playground, Playing a sport (Whatever the child is into at that moment), Biking, Sidewalk Chalk, Making slime, Dance competition, Making a cool fort, Creating DIY Puffy Paint, Making Friendship bracelets, Creating Playdough sculptures, Watching movies, Playing board games, and in the summer time when school is not in session I take it upon myself to still make sure the kids are doing learning activities to prepare for the next school year... A routine is always super important and it makes things 10× easier when school is back in session.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important aspect of this job is being a positive role model and available to kid(s) at all times. Sometimes children just want to be heard and feel important so it's our job to make that happen. Children are all unique in their own ways, I truly love watching them grow into their personalities as they get older. Time flies so it's important we embrace all the moments... big or small!👩‍🏫🎉🌟🌻

My experience with special needs children...

When I worked for Minnieland Academy from [phone number hidden] my boss put me through a special needs course at our corporate office. In my classroom, back at my school I had children with Autism, Asperger's, Anxiety, ADHD, Bi-Polar, Depression, Personal Traumas, Physical Disabilities, Medical/ Mobility Disabilities, and other behavioral disorders/ special needs. These children were truly remarkable, unique, and have so much to offer! Working with children that are in that type of life situation was a blessing in disguise for me, it made me cherish and love life even more but in a different light! While the children were learning new things about theirselves and discovering life daily, I had the pleasure of doing that with them but for myself!😊 It was an amazing bonding experience. Despite these children having these disorders they taught me so much, I'm forever grateful for that opportunity and experience. It helped me create life long relationships that I hold close to my heart.💟

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when the kids I was Nannying drew pictures of me with their family... They considered me family too and that warmed my heart. Knowing I made an imprint on their life like that made me super happy, kids are so rewarding, loving, thoughtful, and caring. That means I 10,000% did my job. Being kind and being present for someone is priceless.
