A little bit about me

Hello I am Kristen. I love working with kids and animals! I have my BS in Animal science and am an aspiring veterinarian. I currently am an education intern at the Mill Mountain Zoo and work with a variety of age groups teaching kids about the animals I know and love, as well as the environment around us and how to respect and protect it. I teach summer camp, do birthday parties, and a lot of church and school group programs. As an intern I designed a learning materials packet for students to use and guide them through adventures at the zoo. For fun, I am also the zoos mascot Amanda the Panda. I was a nanny for several months for a family with two kiddos, and I had a blast. Prior to that I had sporadic babysitting jobs with children from toddler age and up. I also was a Princess for multiple companies, visiting children’s hospitals and doing birthday parties and charity events. Additionally I was a kids night coordinator for Bob Evans for 2yrs.
