Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as a Montessori preschool teacher infants-6, as a private nanny, as a contracted nanny for a well-known agency, and as a paraprofessional with children with various needs. I've worked in various bakeries over the years as well, at a plant nursery and as a before/after school coordinator for the YMCA with elementary age children.
I have over fifteen years of experience in early childhood care and honestly have enjoyed it very much.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My passion is instilling confidence and expanding creativity in the minds of little ones. That being said, I love being outside exploring nature with children whether we're hiking, collecting things, or crafting with things we find outside. Anything that connects them to their environment is exciting for me to facilitate. Also since I love crafting I love creating with kids whether it's painting or any type of activity that fosters self expression. My teaching philosophy is based on child-centered learning and especially with very young children I encourage them to use their imagination any way possible whether through creative play, story-telling, singing, or whatever sparks joy or interest is usually a great indicator of where to start.

Enjoying the moment and making the most of the time. Keeping the kids safe and being a good role model and also just having fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memories are from when I was a private nanny for a family in Colorado for about a year and a half and I got to know the child's after school teachers, extended family, music, swim and theater teachers and I became really close with the family and community. I feel like it takes a village and I'm all about creating meaningful connections and relationships that last and make the child feel supported.
Also when I was a nanny in NJ I would take the three kids on day trips to different places and it was fun to work with kids around 12 or 13 as I'm used to the little ones but it was cool to just have that experience as well connecting with people at all different times in life.
At the end of the day there's so many fun moments with kids but It's the relationships and trust that's built with families when you really connect and can just communicate genuinely and candidly that make a lasting impression.
