I worked as an outdoor education instructor at a farm school in Alabama, teaching K-12 students everything from livestock science to cooking straight from the garden.

I enjoy everything that allows children to get creative and make something out of nothing: painting, scultping, cooking, baking, writing stories, making music, etc. I especially love tapping into what they're naturally interested in and designing engaging activities around that.

As someone who grew up feeling out of place at times, it's very important to me as a nanny that the children in my care feel comfortable in their own skin and capable of reaching their goals. To me, this means making sure each child is respected as their own person with their own way of existing in the world, and empowering them to be themselves.
