A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Kylee Donovan, I’m a 20 year old looking for more interpersonal, hands on jobs!
I love working with children and have 2+ years of experience in both daycare and swim coaching with kids ranged 3 mos- 13 yrs. I love singing and dancing, watching movies and playing outside, cooking and cleaning are also a relaxing part of the job for me that I enjoy.
I have a very bubbly personality and enthusiastic work ethic that pairs perfectly with children and their creative minds.
My patience levels have been built through years of child care and I’m great with problem resolution.
Lastly I am CPR/First Aid certified, as well as being trained in child abuse and neglect, lifeguarding (in case you own a pool) and early childhood education (daycare age).

Singing, playing dress-up, reading, watching Gracie’s corner or Ms Rachel (for toddlers), pretend/imaginary play, movies, just dance or dancing songs, dolls, trucks, anything you could think of really :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is really connecting with the children. If the child you’re playing with and watching doesn’t trust you then it makes the work a lot more difficult. I really think a strong sense of friendship matters to kids and they don’t always know that you’re getting paid to be there. Sometimes they think you’re just a friend coming over to play and it’s important they feel comfortable enough to be open and have fun with you.

My experience with special needs children...

1 on 1 care for a child on the autism spectrum through my day care. Also 1 on 1 swim lessons with a child on the autism spectrum as requested by parents.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was babysitting these three sisters all under the age of 8 and when putting to bed they got worried anbout intruders so they asked me if I would read to them. We did one better and I put on frozen and acted out all the songs and scenes in front of the tv with them until they tired out and fell asleep. The next week I was gifted a drawing the girls had made of me as Elsa by the parents :) they were sweethearts!
