A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Kylie and I am 20 years old. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I cared for two seven year olds, I helped them with virtual school, their assignments, and practicing reading and writing. I have experience with working with children with autism. I also cared for a four year old, playing games inside and outside of the house. I have also given horseback riding lessons to young children, and ensuring their safety in the process.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy riding bikes outside, playing on the play set (if there is one), taking walks, any sports related game or even tag, and picnics outside for lunch (if weather is appropriate). When we are inside, I enjoy playing with toys with the kids, having dance parties, doing arts and crafts, and helping with their school work/reading and writing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is not only caring for the children, but teaching them how to care for themselves. I do my very best to teach them how to be kind to others and themselves. I feel that it is so important to teach children at a young age to be kind to themselves. Lastly, I think it is important to make sure the kids are having fun and being safe.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a child with autism, helped him with virtual school, and practicing reading and writing. I spent time teaching him about being kind to himself, his siblings, and others. I also spent time teaching him how to use his words to tell me, his siblings, his parents, and even his teachers how he was feeling.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was helping a child who had autism, that I was nannying for, with his school work. He was given certain things to take pictures of, and one of those things was a friend. He held up the iPad and said, "Smile Ms. Kylie," he then told me that I was his best friend and he had to include me. He absolutely melted my heart with that one, and there were so many other moments like this!
