A little bit about me

Hello!

My name is Lacey. I've enjoyed working with children for several years. I first worked as a nanny during my summers home from college (with children four months to five years). After graduating from school in 2018, I became a youth program coordinator and summer camp director for three years. When my daughter was born at the beginning of 2023, I became a K-12 substitute teacher in Rock Hill and Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools.

I have a 15-month-old daughter and a 7-year-old step daughter. We're an active family and we LOVE the fort mill parks and playgrounds, cooking, crafts, and educational games :)

My step daughter enjoys her after school and summer camp program, and I am in search of a nannying role that would be a good fit for myself and my toddler daughter. She is very social and excellent with independent play. I would love to find a position where I could care for other children ages 8 weeks to 10 years. I look forward to meeting you and your family!

We have a very active family!

I am not personally against screen time, but I love to offer more fun alternatives :) As a previous summer camp director, I love inside days with arts and crafts. My family's go-to spots around Charlotte/Fort Mill are Cherry Park, Park Road Park, and the Main Street Children's Museum. I am also in search of a good nature center!

I like to have the types of days with kids where we do something a bit educational, and spend a lot of time outside! More than once, my stepdaughter realizes all of a sudden at the end of the day during bath and bedtime that she was too busy to watch TV all day :D

I would love to work with a family interested in a blend of frequent and relaxed summer activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I first watched a family with a five-year-old. We went to the pool and swam all afternoon. Her mom later called me and said I was the first sitter to take her daughter to the pool and actually swim with her :)

I have always loved keeping kids active outdoors, especially in the summer!
