I have volunteered in an equestrian center where I helped teach autistic children how to ride and take care of horses. I also volunteer in a place for low-income families to bring their children and I feed them, help with homework, and play with them.

Personally, I am a very artistic person so I love doing anything that is creative with children, whether it be an arts and crafts activity like painting or drawing. I also love playing sports with kids or doing wholesome things like baking or making forts. I think childhood is a very important part of a persons life and it should be the most enjoyable it can be.

I think the most important part about being a nanny is both your attitude and your outlook on things. This can change the way you react to things, and when dealing with children it's important to go about things in the right way that will benefit them in the long run. I also think that being understanding and having patience & empathy are very important when it comes to being a nanny as well.

I have volunteered with many different children, many of which have had autism. I've taken care of them by feeding them, helping them with school, as well as done some outside activities, and providing emotional support for them when necessary.
