A little bit about me

I am an experienced and qualified professional educator and caregiver. I have over 10 years experience teaching, predominantly in the arts (dance and drama). Prior to that, I spent 5 years caring for infants and young children in a household setting.

I am 30 years old and have recently relocated from Australia with legal permission to work in the US. I have achieved at a high level in the teaching profession, recently being promoted to Director of Cultural Activities at the largest school in Brisbane. I think this is an example that demonstrates I am intelligent, a good communicator, work hard and have initiative.

At this stage in my life I am looking to take a break from teaching, and feel my skills and passion fits well with a nanny role. I am passionate about working with and caring for children, and would love the opportunity to assist in a young child’s development and day to day caregiving. I am highly professional, and have the attitude and ability to help alleviate the stress of day to day parenting, as well as enriching the development of a young child.

I have strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate, encourage and engage children across a variety of activities. I maintain a high level of professional conduct and set high expectations for myself and others. I have a positive mindset and feel that my demeanour and temperament is one that has a positive impact on the people around me.
