A little bit about me

Hello, I'm Laura. I've been caring for children for 8 years. I have worked at 3 different daycares with primarily in Infants through 2 year olds (including 2 month old twins, a set of 1 year old triplets, a set of 1 year old twins, and a set of 2 year old twins).I have been a full time nanny for 2 different families, one with a 3 month old, and one with a ten day old. One family I was a part-time nanny for had 3 under 3 and a 5 year old. I am CPR certified and I have a certificate in Early Childhood Education. I have babysat over 100 different children (primarily under 5 year old). I love taking children outside for fresh air and sunshine every day (weather permitting). I am also a big fan of baby wearing! I don't do screen time at all with children (unless the parents request me to). I believe a secure attachment is very important, so I love holding/baby wearing babies if I am not playing with them on the floor working on meeting milestones.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in 3 daycares with newborns, 1s, and 2s. I have been a nanny for 2 different families. The first had a 3 month old when I started, and the second had a 10 day old. I was a night nanny for a month for the second family and then transitioned to being during the day.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going to the park, doing crafts, playing make believe, and playing outside with kids. I also love baby wearing.

Being a nanny means being able to give each child individualized care, attention, and love.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with children diagnosed with autism after getting my RBT degree. My clients there were primarily 3-8 years old, but I did have a 15 year old and 17 year old client for a couple months.
