Depending on their age, if the weather is nice I like to play out doors as much as possible (after applying LOTS of sunscreen of course)
I also like to incorporate techniques I learned from a pediatric physical therapist that help build strength and balance when playing.
I think my job as a nanny is to make whatever it is we are doing fun for them whether it's practicing ABC's or running errands, with the right attitude anything can become an adventure.

Having good communication with parents is key. Also, to be willing to learn and adapt to different families and parenting styles is important but the relationship you build with the children is what matters most. If they're not smiling when I walk through the door then I'm not doing my job.
