Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used to work at the kids club at LA fitness where I would watch multiple children at a time. I have plenty of nieces and nephews as well that I help care for! I also was a former high school teacher so I have a love of learning and teaching.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love sports - catch, basketball, golf, you name it! I have fun playing board games, coloring, practicing reading, doing puzzles, and I also am very girly - tea parties, doll time, doing hair! Being a former teacher, I love helping kids learn.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure kids feel safe and protected. Being a former teacher, some kids came to school just for a safe place to go to be seen and heard. I made sure my classroom was that place where they could create, vent, and feel cared for. I will always advocate for your children, I will always fight for them, and I will always ensure they know (and that you do, too!) how important and special they are. This isn't just about a job, it's really about making a difference for all kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I don't have a nanny moment per se, but plenty from my nephews and nieces and from kids club! I love seeing kids smile, so anything I can do to make that happen is a favorite moment of mine.. even playing with a napkin (entertaining babies is fun!) or playing airplane or dress up!
