More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am an experienced adoptive mom of 4 and a grandma to 1. Two of my kiddos have special needs, so I’m comfortable with a variety of kids and meet them where they are. I was a SAHM for 20 years and started nannying again 1.5 years ago. I’m comfortable with all ages, but I do love babies and toddlers. I am am animal person, so I’m happy to help with the pets as needed. I’m open to errands or household tasks, meal prep, light cleaning or organizing. I think it’s amazing to be a part of a child’s life, whether it’s helping them with their important milestones or just the day to day activities. Both are rewarding. I look forward to chatting and seeing if we are a good fit.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to play and be creative with children. The younger ones I love getting down on the floor and working on tummy time or reading with them. Older kids are fun to play outside with, do crafts or work on something artistic.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love being able to help parents feel confident in knowing that I’ll care for their child as if he or she is my own. It’s so wonderful to witness a child’s growth and development and be a part of it.
My experience with special needs children...
My youngest daughter (15) is autistic, she has sensory integration disorder and has life threatening allergies and asthma. My youngest son (12) came to our family at 1.5 and had a rough start in life. He has ADHD, PTSD, a mood disorder and ODD. I’m very comfortable with children that have physical, mental or emotional challenges.
