My name is Lauryn Goedert, I'm 19, I've always had a passion for kids. My parents have been foster parents for over 20 years and I myself was a foster child, along with my brother, and we were both adopted. Between the years that my parents have been fostering, I would always help out as much as I could. I help out in my church with the younger kids (3-5), teaching them lessons, helping with whatever they need. I am currently working toward getting my permit and license, (life can get a little crazy sometimes) but I do have a reliable way to get to work. I have worked at Friendly's, Bob Evans, and Giant. I am a very hard worker and love making things clean and organized. I am more than happy to clean around the house as well as meal preps. In my church, I would help my mom with the 3-5 year class, I have volunteered at my local library helping children sign up for summer activities, my parents are foster parents so I have had a lot of experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy anything their into! Whether that be crafts, board games/puzzles, legos, building forts, coloring, playing outside, doing sidewalk chalk, any type of sports, swimming, taking walks...whatever they enjoy, I'm right there beside them :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having a nurturing nature in your heart is key. Being able to provide a safe, loving environment is something all kids need to grow up with. Being able to connect on a deep level, build a safe, loving relationship and offer a stable environment are all important elements of nurturing a child.

I actually have not gotten the chance to work with special needs kids but sure am willing to learn

The most important part about being a nanny...

I've never been a nanny but I would say my favorite part about working with kids is when they're in their most vulnerable moments and they still choose to lay down next to you and watch their favorite show or movie.
