A little bit about me

Hi all! I'm Laysha, a dog mom and social work student at Ramapo College. I have a strong desire to help families in the postpartum stage and am hoping to be a night nanny and give parents/families a little extra rest and peace of mind.

Helping new mothers and families is very near and dear to my heart. My mother passed away when I was 8 years old, in childbirth, and I have vivid memories of helping my dad take care of my newborn sister. Caring for my baby sister helped me feel a sense of purpose and calm during that extremely chaotic time. I believe that experience prompted my love of caring for others.

I have been nannying for more than 3 years for children ages 1 week - 9 years. I am working toward completing a newborn care specialist certification, as I have realized that my life story gives me a unique perspective and ability to connect with families and newborns.

I can help with nighttime feedings, cleaning, laundry, washing dishes/bottles, and sleep training.
