Hello! My name is Shameka. To first start off, I'd like to say that I have a Daughter that is 5 years old so I definitely have hands on experience with caring for a young age group! I understand the nerves and importance of having to leave your child in someone else’s care and to trust them to be safe. I am currently a Nanny for a 6 month old baby on Wednesday’s and Friday’s.
Majority of my jobs has been working w/ children since my very first job as a child. I've done after school, counseling & volunteer. I was going to school for Nursing & Psychology but taking time off to help you & CARE for your babies!
I have my creative side! I love to sing, write, performed on Broadway, Apollo, etc. I LOVE arts & crafts, music & dance. Kids won't be bored! Kids can be tough critics! I'd like to mention I have a sibling with special needs, so I have experience. I HAVE A LOT OF PATIENCE! I believe kids love me b/c I look YOUNG so they're not overwhelmed. I'm not tall. 5'2 & 25 yr old. (I don’t want you to think I’m a child coming to care for your child. HA!) PT/FT. Hope we talk soon to discuss more information to be clear on both sides.

I've been nanny and babysitting a wide variety of families since I was a freshman in High School. I'm comfortable with any age child, and any number of kids. I've full-time nannied for a family with 2 middle school aged children for the past 4 summers and have babysat in the past for families with younger children and babies as well. I am currently a senior at Michigan State University studying Human Development and I will be graduating in May which is when I can begin working.
