More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been working in childcare since 2018 as a preschool teacher. For over two years of that time I have been with one-year-olds and infants. I have also spent plenty of time with toddlers as well as VPK age!! During this time, I have learned a lot about lesson planning, and appropriate milestones for every age. Additionally, in the most recent year, I did a part-time nanny position for a one-year-old and a newborn. I fell in love with the private setting and individualized care leading me to seek out a full time nannying position.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have learned so much in my time as a preschool teacher, including age-appropriate activities such as sensory exploration, art and language building games! Outside time is so important to a child’s development, and should be included every day (if applicable). I look forward to implementing all I have learned in a smaller setting to be able to make edit’s appropriate for each child.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had experience working with children with autism, ADHD and learning disabilities. I have also worked with newborns recently out of the NICU that had specific care needs. All this training has led me to be very patient and understanding of the special needs of each individual child.
