I'm an artist, full-time aunt to my brother's children and full-time daughter to my parents. The children love to come and stay with me in the summer while their parents work. I teach them what I know about painting, drawing. We make art, homemade ice cream, boiled peanuts, lemonade and sell our "goods" from our sidewalk. This past week we harvested figs from our tree and made fig preserves. We lounge in the sun and take turns reading aloud from the book of the week. We enjoy each other's company and our summer.
