A little bit about me

Hey families! My Name is Lina and I’m a looking for a part time job where I can bring my baby boy (due end of April). I’m looking for a position starting early-mid August. I’m 26 years old and moved from Germany to the US in 2020. Kids absolutely are and always have been my passion. I am one of 5 (second oldest) so started taking care of my younger siblings at an early age. In my teens (14-18) I worked at summer camps every summer for 4 weeks at a time and had multiple internships in preschools and elementary schools. At the age of 16 I stared taking care of a little baby girl and sticked with babysitting to make some extra money while going to school. For the last 5 years I am working as a professional nanny. I have great references from former families and am more than happy to share numbers/pictures/references of previous Families up on request. Don’t hesitate reaching out to me about any questions 🤍

"I am highly recommend Lina. We first had the pleasure of meeting Lina in January 2022, from the moment we met her, our family felt a special connection with Lina. In April 2022, we invited Lina to join us for a week-long family trip to Arizona in exchange for her assistance with childcare. The experience was fantastic for everyone in our family. Subsequently, from April 2023 until July 2023, Lina stayed with us, providing excellent childcare for our 3 Boys. Lina is undoubtedly the best nanny our family has ever had. Her love for children is genuine and unwavering, and she always remains composed and confident. Besides being a caring nanny, she is a skilled household manager, effortlessly juggling childcare and maintaining the household to perfection. Our only concern is that once you experience Lina's exceptional care, it becomes nearly impossible to find someone else who meets her standards. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Best regards, Liat Arama"

"I wholeheartedly recommend Lina as an exceptional nanny. I cannot speak highly enough of her dedication and abilities as well as her character and amazing personality. Lina displayed a remarkable level of responsibility and nurturing care. She always ensured that my daughters' health, safety and well-being were her top priorities. Lina's loving and patient demeanor created a warm and secure environment, allowing my children to form a strong bond with her. She effortlessly engaged them in creative activities and educational games, fostering curiosity and imagination. Lina approached challenges with a can-do attitude and always found a solution for any problem. Her dependability, kindness, and genuine love for my daughters made a lasting impression on all of us. Without a doubt, I confidently recommend Lina as an exceptional nanny to any family. She has the perfect blend of caregiving skills, trustworthiness, and amiable personality that anyone would be fortunate to have in their home."

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in summer camps and had multiple internships in preschools and elementary schools, went on trips with families as travel nanny and watched special needs kids

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outside, helping out with homework, introducing chores (clean up after playing etc.) cooking together
, go to the park, go for walks, read stories, have picnics, make experiments ( for example paper boat and dish soap in water, food color and shaving cream as water coloring etc) come up with creative play and to stimulate the imagination of kids. Built forts, play dinosaurs, get silly, dress up and have a “party”, do arts and crafts etc. ☺️

The most important part about being a nanny...

• Patience
Kids, especially little kids get easily overstimulated, they start feeling so many new emotions and don’t know how to cope with them and easily get frustrated/throwing a tantrum. In my opinion it’s most important to stay calm and let the child know you’re here and they’re safe with you. Offer them hugs and never talk their emotions down and after the tantrum is over sit down and try to find a way how to help the child next time in the same situation (breathing methods, offer hugs, slow down doing things etc.)

• Open communication with parents
Communication is everything especially raising a little human, being on the same page is very important to not get the child/ren confused.

• Paying attention always
Especially when taking care of new Borns and toddlers it’s important to always be present and pay attention to them, little kids don’t understand danger and it’s my job to keep them safe!

• Being loving and understand kids needs

My experience with special needs children...

I took care of a non verbal 6 year old boy with autism, since this is privat I’m open to describe more if interested via message but I don’t feel comfortable writing it here. :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

I took care of a little girl in my second year as an au pair (the girl on my profile picture) and she truly is my best friend! I started taking care of her when she was 18 month old and is now turing 3 in September. Seeing how happy and excited she gets every time I come to visit warms my heart, her smile, her silly laughs, seeing how much she trust me and how safe she feels with me truly means everything to me. I’m still in very close contact with her and the family and visit them at least once a week to spend time with her and her little sister (now 8 month old) I got the see both of them archiving so many milestones and growing into their little personality’s and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it 🤍
