A little bit about me

I am a certified elementary school teacher with a current Oregon teaching license. I am also a mother of 4 kids (ages 7, 9, 12 and 15). I absolutely love babies and little kids. I am looking to move away from full-time public school teaching with large class sizes to nannying as a way to work more one-on-one with kids. As a teacher, I have much experience teaching early literacy and math skills. I’d love to read to your children and tutor them. I opened my own preschool where I taught for 5 years before deciding to pursue my masters in teaching. From there I have taught kindergarten, first grade, 4th grade and most recently K-5 physical education. I love sports and play the violin. I also enjoy hiking, traveling and spending time with my family.

I am a certified elementary school teacher and have been teaching elementary school full time for the past 6 years. Prior to getting my masters in teaching I taught preschool for 3 years. I was a nanny in high school full time in the summers and part time during the school year. In college I also worked at a daycare as a toddler (2-3’s) teacher.

Going on walks, hiking, reading, playing at the park, trips to the zoo, children’s museums, art projects, playing outside, riding bikes, sports and whatever special interests your child has. I love literacy play and teaching children how to read.
