What I enjoy most about working with children is that my approach always depends on the child and their unique interests and needs. I love incorporating hands-on, creative activities like arts and crafts, which allow children to express themselves while building fine motor skills and confidence. I also enjoy setting up simple obstacle courses that encourage movement, problem-solving, and teamwork, as well as taking the children to the park or out into nature to explore, ask questions, and discover the world around them. Whether we’re painting, climbing, collecting leaves, or simply talking about what we see outside, I find joy in following each child’s lead and turning everyday moments into fun, meaningful learning experiences.

The most important part of being a nanny is building a safe, trusting, and loving relationship with the child while acting as a reliable extension of the parents. This means consistently putting the child’s well-being first, showing genuine care and patience, and creating a secure attachment so the child feels comfortable, understood, and supported in their daily life. Along with that, strong communication with parents, good judgment around safety, and the ability to stay calm and flexible when things don’t go as planned are essential to earning and keeping a family’s trust. A great nanny becomes a steady, nurturing presence who helps the child grow emotionally, socially, and confidently, all while respecting the family’s values and routines.
