More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a youth development professional for two years and a daycare teacher for two years, I worked with ages ranging from 2 months to 14 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing art with the kids and playing new games to help with fine motor and gross motor skills as well as language development and socializing. When it's outside time, I'm very active with the kids and will play the games they usually want to play, such as tag or a dance party.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the heart of being a nanny is giving kids a place where they can just breathe and be themselves. Knowing that I’m the person who can turn a rough morning around just from being there for them is everything. Kids grow and learn best when they feel completely secure, so I focus on building that trust first, making sure they always know someone is in their corner pulling for them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have primary experience caring for children with autism and ADHD, but my skills extend to other disabilities as well. Growing up in a household with individuals who have ADHD, autism, and other learning disabilities gave me firsthand insight into the unique challenges these children face. As a caregiver, my primary goal is to help children build new skills while leveraging their existing strengths to overcome difficulties. I believe every child deserves to feel valued and fully capable of succeeding alongside their peers.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love when I walk into my classroom and have kids that light up when they see me, especially if they're having a bad day. Having a comfort and safe person for children is really important for their development, so I plan to utilize that for them and create a safe and caring environment.
