A little bit about me

I’ve been a dedicated nanny for over 20 years. I have experience caring for children from newborns up to 12 years old, including twins, triplets, and children with special needs—particularly those with autism and sensory processing challenges.

I’m an active and engaged caregiver who loves planning fun, developmentally appropriate activities. With toddlers and older children, I enjoy taking them to parks, libraries, swimming, and indoor play zones. We stay busy with games, arts and crafts, coloring, reading, and lots of outdoor fun.

With infants, I focus on early stimulation using music, black-and-white visual patterns, colorful toys, tummy time, stretching, and movement to help support their growth.

I believe that strong communication and mutual respect between myself and the parents are essential to creating a positive, supportive environment for the children in my care.

I’m up-to-date on all my vaccines.
I’m CPR certified.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 20 years of experience in the childcare industry, including working in both private homes and daycare/school settings. I’ve cared for children with a range of special needs, including autism, sensory processing challenges, and developmental disabilities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Games, outside play, reading, learning, toys, crafts.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important parts of being a nanny are building trust, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting a child’s growth in a way that aligns with the family’s values. Communication and mutual respect between the nanny and parents are essential for a successful partnership.

It’s also important to truly understand each child as an individual—meeting them where they are developmentally, emotionally, and socially. Whether it’s helping with routines, encouraging independence, or simply being a steady, loving presence, my goal is always to make a positive, lasting impact in their lives.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience working with children who have special needs, particularly those with autism, sensory processing disorders, and developmental disabilities. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and individualized care. I tailor my approach to meet each child’s unique needs—whether that means using visual schedules, practicing calming techniques, creating sensory-friendly activities, or supporting their communication and social development.

Building trust and creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment is always my top priority. I work closely with parents to ensure we’re aligned on goals, routines, and strategies to support their child’s growth and happiness.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Some of my favorite moments as a nanny are the little milestones—like a baby’s first steps, a toddler learning new words, or seeing a child light up when they master a new skill. I especially love the joy and laughter that come from simple things like reading stories together, doing arts and crafts, or playing outside.

With special needs children, the progress may come in smaller steps, but every one of them is incredibly meaningful. Watching their confidence grow and being part of their journey is something I truly cherish.

The bonds I form with the children and their families are what make this work so fulfilling. Knowing I’ve made a positive impact in their lives—and they in mine—is the most rewarding part of what I do.
