More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Me and my mother ran an event called "sensory friendly santa" for a few years! I worked as an elf who helped kiddos with developmental disabilities and/or sensory sensitivity arts and crafts and assisted them when it was time for the family to take pictures with santa! Big events like taking mall photos with Santa can be really overwhelming, so we wanted to give families with kiddos with disabilities a chance to meet santa without any of the stress involved!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading a lot! I am a very big reader myself, and so I love reading to children! My sister is nearing 13 years old, and she still will sometimes have me read stories to her! I also enjoy arts and crafts and cooking! I enjoy teaching kids how to enjoy doing basic life skills. I often times have mt brother help me with cooking, and make it a fun activity in order for him to learn these life skills!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think one of the most important parts of being a nanny is having a connection with the kids. I think it is really important to form a connection of safety and positivity with the kids in order to give proper care and teach them important skills! I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those around me, and that includes the littles. Children are so much smarter than we give them credit for, and I want to help leave a positive mark on the next generation of little dreamers!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared mostly for children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as ADHD and occasionally those with Down Syndrome. I myself am autistic, and my siblings are also neurodivergent, and so I have much experience with special needs kiddos.
