Beginning my sophomore year of high school, I participated in a Child Development program that included hands-on experience in our school’s preschool. We worked in small groups and rotated responsibility for planning and teaching weekly activities for the preschoolers. During my senior year, I also completed a Child Development internship working with elementary-aged children. These experiences taught me how to plan age-appropriate activities, keep children engaged, communicate patiently, and work with different personalities and needs.

I enjoy arts and crafts, drawing, reading, board games, music and dancing, and age-appropriate learning activities. Outdoors, I enjoy walks, playground time, simple games, and exploring outside. I’m also happy to plan activities around each child’s interests and age.
