Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite activities I enjoy doing with children include: talking, singing, reading, taking them for a walk or pulling them in their wagon. Playing games can also be fun & educational! Other activities depending on the age of child(ren) in my care may include but are not limited to: play catch/roll a ball, draw with sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles, push toys, blocks/mega blocks/Legos, learn how to crawl & take first steps, activity mat, saucer, swing, stacking rings/cups, educational toys that light up & play music, play pretend/dress up/play kitchen, cars/trucks/trains, do puzzles together, dolls/stuffed animals, crawl through a tunnel, make arts & crafts, color/paint, play-doh &/or Kinetic sand, learn/practice: colors/shapes/letters/numbers, animals & animal sounds. Learn how to trace their name, learn/practice sight words.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a Nanny is to be there for the child(ren) in my care, I do this by caring for them, encouraging them in the activity they are doing, and most importantly keeping them safe.In addition, I am there to help the parents while they work.
My experience with special needs children...
My role as a Certified Nursing Assistant (Home Health Aid) provided me with years of experience with children who have special needs &/or disabilities. A few specific types of special needs include but are not limited to: down syndrome, Autistic, developmental delays, visually impaired, & Cerebral Palsy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite Nanny moment is how I have had the opportunity of keeping in touch with the children in my care. It happened for me over the years with one family I was a part of. To this day, I still receive pictures, and have enjoyed on one occasion to watch them play sports.
