My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children who have autism, my brother being one of those children. I became very patient when it come to respecting the boundaries and needs of a child on the spectrum. I always like to follow a schedule or even create a schedule to help the child become comfortable with me being around. I have also helped with introducing them to new foods or even helping them with new tasks such as tying shoes and even zipping up or buttoning a jacket, if you would like me to do so.
